Name

The name of this organization shall be the Waco Basketball Chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials.

Purpose

The purpose of this organization shall be:

	To provide a group of officials who have demonstrated an acceptable knowledge of the basketball rules and mechanics with the ability to interpret then accurately, intelligently and consistently
	To encourage fair play and sportsmanship
	To encourage a closer relationship among officials, school administrators, athletic directors, coaches, players and fans
	To set and maintain a high code of ethics
	To stimulate a professional attitude among its members in all aspects of officiating, both on and off the basketball court
